At Avolites we have been developing a deep integration between our Titan lighting console range and Ai Media servers. This allows designers to use video and lighting together to create more immersive shows.
One of the key features of Synergy is light map. This allows designers to sample the colour data from a video across a set of lighting fixtures, creating a larger canvas reaching out into the audience. Used correctly, this can make a 2D video feel like it is reaching out into the audience while not being distracting from the show.
Over the summer I have been lucky enough to take out Synergy to several events including Glastonbury and Hospitality in the Park. I believe that testing our features first hand on the ground helps us learn what works best and improves our products as a result.
